High Protein Cooking started in my tiny kitchen – with a notepad, a bag of protein powder, and a husband who kept stealing the test batches. Since then, it’s grown into a community of people who want satisfying, protein‑packed meals without the fuss.

I create every recipe, write every word, and taste‑test (a lot). Behind the camera? That’s my husband, Alex – the official photographer, chief taste‑tester, and the reason every photo here looks as good as the food tastes.

How It All Started

From Gym Fuel to Kitchen Passion

I wasn’t always comfortable in the kitchen. Like many people, I started eating more protein because I wanted to feel stronger and stay full longer. But I quickly got bored of plain chicken, dry turkey, and chalky shakes. So I began experimenting: turning classics into high‑protein versions that my friends and family actually wanted to eat.

Overnight oats that taste like dessert. Creamy cheesecakes with hidden protein. Buffalo chicken dip that disappears at every party. I found my groove, and the smile on people’s faces when they realised “healthy” could taste this good – that became the real reward.

Alex Picked Up the Camera (And a Wooden Spoon)

Alex, my husband, is a professional photographer. He saw me struggling to capture the steam rising off a perfect protein pancake with my phone, and he stepped in. What started as a favour turned into a partnership. Now he styles the shots, captures every golden‑brown muffin top, and honestly, he’s become a pretty solid sous‑chef. Turns out, when you cook together, you eat better – and the blog got a whole lot prettier.

Alex also fell in love with the food. His favourites are the high‑protein cheesecake jars and anything with buffalo sauce. He’s the reason we have a whole category for “snacks that travel,” because he’s always taking food to shoots.

“This isn’t just a recipe site. It’s how we eat at home – protein‑packed, full of flavour, and made with a lot of love (and sometimes a bit of a mess).”
